Longplay

This was to have been the 33(and 1/3)rd UK Filk Convention but had to be cancelled due to pandemic restrictions. It was run online as Long (Distance) Play jointly with Capricon, a Chicago convention which was to have run on the same weekend. Marilisa organised running over Zoom.

In 2022 they were intending to run in-person, but a rise in infections plus the hotel being gazumped for refugees and alternate hotels being booked out for delayed weddings etc. meant that the convention was run online again, on 5th and 6th of February 2022.

In 2023 they found that the hotel would still be housing refugees until at least March. After a lot of work trying to find viable alternates, and with many other problems arising, they eventually had to give up as they were overwhelmed and exhausted.

Mike and Anne Whitaker ran the first MillCon house filk at the Mill House on what would have been the convention dates, 3rd to 5th February 2023.
