FilkCONtinental - The German Filk Convention

Our German friends also run a convention every year. This is held at Freusburg Castle Youth Hostel, near Freudenberg and Siegen.
This year's will be on 30th September-2nd October 2011. Guests Wilderwood (Tim and Annie Walker). Special guest Mary Ellen Wessels.

Lots of great songs, lots of fun, lots of hugs. Nearly everyone speaks very good English, and a lot of the songs are in English. There is a strong contingent from the UK there every year.

DFDF - Das Frühlingsfest der Filksmusik - A second German Filk Convention

The third DFDF will be on 27th-29th May 2011 in Bad Salzdetfurth, Germany (near Hanover). The guest is Rika Körte.

HalswayCon Days 2012

Annie Walker will be running another small relaxacon at Halsway Manor in Somerset on 3rd-5th August 2012. This is the location that was used for Manorcon 2010. Details are still being sorted - more announcements soon.

Eastercon

The UK national SF convention is held each year over the Easter weekend. There is always some filking there, though the amount can vary a lot.

The 2012 Eastercon will be Olympus 2012 Friday 6th to Monday 9th April 2012 at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Heathrow.
Guests: Paul Cornell, George R.R. Martin, Steph Swainston, Margaret Austin, Martin Easterbrook.
